1.600 Japanerinnen gingen als Freiwillige in 160 Länder um dort erste humanitäre Projekte auf zu bauen. Später wurde dies die Grundlage für die Anerkennung als NGO mit konsultativem Status an der UNO. Many of them could be sustained until to the present time

Erste Brücke des Friedens in Korea zwischen Frauen aus Japan und Korea

Erste "Brücke des Friedens" in Europa: Österreich - Tschechien, im April in Wien; im September in Prag 

"Brücke des Friedens" mit Kroatien, Slowenien, Ungarn 

WFWP wird der "Gernal Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations" als auch der "Association with the United Nations Department of Public Information" zuerkannt.

Jahres-Frauen-Konferenz für "Frieden im Nahen Osten" wird in Istanbul abgehalten.
